Bareilly: Four people were injured in multiple leopard attacks at separate locations near Dudhwa forests in the Lakhimpur Kheri district.On Wednesday evening, a farmer was injured by a big cat near the Bheera range of Dudhwa while three farmers were injured in a leopard attack in an adjacent village.Since Saturday, two persons have been killed in the Nighasan range of Dudhwa.
Field Director DTR Sanjay Pathak said, "While locals claimed that a tiger was attacking people, the team combing the area has found the pugmarks of a leopard in the area."
"The officials are monitoring the area and we will find out if the attacks were accidental or deliberate," he further said.
"We may place a cage if the animal returns to the village," he added.
