The three-day Devalsari Titli Utsav will be held from 4th June 2022 in Tehri Harhwal's Devalsari to promote butterfly watching and nature-based tourism in the hill state. the festival features a butterfly, moth, bird watching, butterfly photography, heritage, and nature walks. "This is the third edition of Titli Utsav. We have limited residential options and have received a number of bookings from various parts of the country and abroad. We expect hundreds of day visitors," said Arun Gour of Devalsari Environment Protection and Technology Development Society- a village community-based organization that is involved in promoting Devalsari tourism.
"The festival is aimed at promoting community-oriented and nature-based tourism in the Uttarakhand state. Part of the revenue generated from it will go to local communities and the rest towards nature conservation," Gour added.
He further said that Devalsari is rich in flora which has led to an abuundance oof butterflies in the area. he added that as many as 198 species of butterflies have been identified in the area.
