George Everest is located at a great altitude in Mussoorie and is one of the highest points. House of Sir George Everest was built in 1832. He was Surveyor - General of India. It was his Laboratory & House. From this point you can see panoramic view of Doon Valley and Snow Clad Himalayan Ranges.When you visit this place dont forget to go to the top of the nearby mountain and enjoy the thrilling short trek about 1 km up to the top most point. You will find breathtaking views from there and its also decorated with typical colored pieces of clothes.. That is the right place to be here else the Everest house is just an old destroyed property.
