Nainital is a popular hill station in the Indian state of Uttarakhand and headquarters of Nainital district in the Kumaon foothills of the outer Himalayas. Situated at an altitude of 2,084 metres (6,837 ft) above sea level, Nainital is set in a valley containing a pear-shaped lake, approximately two miles in circumference, and surrounded by mountains, of which the highest are Naina (2,615 m (8,579 ft)) on the north, Deopatha (2,438 m (7,999 ft)) on the west, and Ayarpatha (2,278 m (7,474 ft)) on the south. From the tops of the higher peaks, "magnificent views can be obtained of the vast plain to the south, or of the mass of tangled ridges lying north, bounded by the great snowy range which forms the central axis of the Himalayas."

How to Reach Nainital, Uttarakhand
By Train :
The nearest railway station is located at a distance of 34 kilometres at Kathgodham, at the foothills of the Kumaon hills. Kathgodam railway station enjoys good connectivity to important places such as Delhi, Lucknow and Howrah, with daily trains running to New Delhi.
By Road:
Nainital is about 30 Km from Haldwani Bus Stand.It's about 1 Hour Journey. It's about to 300Km (Approx-7 hour journey) from new delhi
By Air :
Being a hill station, Nainital does not have direct air connectivity. The nearest airport is located at Pantnagar, which lies at a distance of 65 kilometres from Nainital. Most of the air traffic to Pantnagar airport includes private chartered flights. There are no commercial flights operational to and from here.
The second nearest airport is in New Delhi which is approximately 290 kilometres away from the central town in Nainital. Delhi airport is well-connected to different cities across the globe. You can hire private taxis from the airport which will charge you around Rs. 4000 to 4500. If you are looking for an economical option, then you can board a train from the Delhi railway station

Nainital is the most popular and exquisite hill station located in the kumaon region of Uttarakhand. It is 40 km away from the last railway station of the kumaon region. The lake is about 1 km long. There are many other places to visit in nainital. The nainital is in the shape of mango and you can see this shape once you will be on the topmost hill of the nainital. You can go there either by walking or by horse. The horse riding is one of the best riding to be experienced. Their rider leave you alone with the horse. The horse will take you to the top most point alone through the narrow route of the mountain once you reach there you can see the mango shape. There is a zoo, temple name hanumangadi, arybhatta reaserach Institute( Aries) there in the nainital to visit. Mall road attract the tourist at night. Asia largest telescope situated at devasthali which is 20 km from Nainital is the must visit place. Nainital is the best place to visit.

Well friends its so nice place for visiting because last summer vacation I went there for visiting and I Saw there are so much trees and many more types of people who are visiting there and they also feel happiness in visiting that place and my whole family visited that place and we spent our most of time in valley and we saw many kind of trees and animals there who were so quiet and so preety that was my great experience to visit the nainital thanks

It's a really nice place to visit with family and friends whenever one gets time from this busy hardworking life. There are a lot of places to visit in Nainital, like as the name suggests there are a lot of lakes in Nainital which would shock one as the water in them is crystal clear and what fun one has while boating with family and friends! There the famous mall road which is famous for its designed candles and shawls for which Nainital is popular. Another place to visit in Nainital would be the caves. Just going ahead the mall road is a place that is called animal caves. In that caves are made in the name of different animals(In which people can climb and go) "don't worry there won't be any animals in that"!. It's made up for the size of the specific animal to which one can enjoy climbing up and down.
And at last there are a lot of resorts there which provide all sort. Of comfort.

Hii, guys here I m describing my journey to nainital with my family.its a wonderful place to visit.there are many lakes which is a very charming scenerio. When we go there the routes ti nainitals are very tricky n we have lots of kids and elders also vomitted many times because of curvy routes.there is very risky work to drive on those curvey routes.n visites the zoo which is almost on the top from where the whole nainital is seen and nearby the lake there were two teams playing hockey where we drink the tea beacause there was very winter. I think guys should visit it once its a very cool place to visit n I must tell u guys will have a great experience.

Friends, few days back, I was in Nainital, which is situated in Uttarakhand. We stay there 3 days, and fully enjoy there. To arrive in Nainital is very easy, you can go there via bus or train. The nearest station is Kathgodam. In Nainital there are so many places which you can see. Some of them as Naina Devi Mandir, Naina Choti, Talli Tal, Malli Tal etc. There are so many beautiful lakes to see. At day time temperature is slightly higher, but its ok.
