Almora is a municipal board and a cantonment town in the Almora district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is the administrative headquarters of Almora district. Almora is located on a ridge at the southern edge of the Kumaon Hills of the Himalaya range, at a distance of 365 km from the national capital New Delhi and 415 km from the state capital Dehradun. According to the provisional results of the 2011 national census of India, Almora has a population of 35,513. Nestled within higher peaks of the Himalaya, Almora enjoys a year-round mild temperate climate.

How to Reach Almora
By Train :
The nearest railway station from Almora is at Kathgodam. It is about 81 km away from the city and can be covered in almost two hours. The service of the trains is really good and it is well connected to many other cities such as Moradabad, Delhi, Haridwar and Bareilly etc
By Road :-
NH 24 connects Delhi to Rampur via Hapur. At Rampur, turn and head north on NH 87 all the way up to Almora. En-route halts include the Wonderland, Rwy crossing, Moradabad and The Kaichi temple, Kaichi. There are daily bus services from Delhi. The buses leave from ISBT Anand Vihar and are run by Uttarakhand Roadways.

Climate k kya kehne? Climate to all over uttrakhand is good but this place is really beautiful and has cool cool climate which makes it place of tourist attraction.Chittai mandir and Jageshwar Mahadev temples are closeby and one should go there.The complete area of Jageshwar Mahadev is surrouded by pine trees and looks like out of this world.

What the amazing road which you are going by road it is so good amazing bike ride nice views actually I was going by activa in a day it was amazing such a good feel good landscape amazing views such beauty u all are prefer by the bike ride to Almora.

Almora - A beautiful city at Kumaun Division in Uttarakhand State. It is not only a hill station, it has historical values too. It was the capital of Chand dynasty who ruled uttarakhand for several decades. It has a famous "LALA BAJAR" for shopping.
