Officials have banned Tourist's Vehicles in Landour, Mussoorie for Two Months

Mussoorie: Tourists who want to travel to Lal Tibba and Char Dukan will now have to hire a taxi as tourist vehicles will not be allowed to enter into Landour Cantonment for the next two months as per the new traffic plan announced by DIG/SSP Dehradun Jamjejaya  Khanduri on Thursday.
Restricting entry of two-wheelers on weekends, parking of four-wheelers at Kincraig, and shuttle service from Kincraig to Mussoorie were the other key decisions.
In a meeting with stakeholders to discuss traffic plans for peak tourist season during May and June, Khanduri said that tourists face problems in driving vehicles on the steep and narrow roads towards the cantonment and this often results in traffic jams.
"During the next two months, tourist vehicles will not be allowed to go towards Landour Cantonment. Tourists can use taxis for sightseeing in that area," Khanduri added. He also said that on busy weekends, two-wheelers without hotel bookings would be stopped at Kuthalgate in order to prevent a rush in the town.
