In Uttarakhand, Haridwar, Nainital, and Dehradun districts have already made masks mandatory. The hill state recorded an overall of 106 active Covid cases, with nine fresh cases on Sunday: Dehradun(5), Pauri(2), Nainital(1), and US Nagar(1).

On Sunday, state health minister Dhan Singh Rawat awarded the best hospitals under the Kayakalp mission, with Rudraprayag and Nainital district hospitals getting the best awards while 94 other health facilities bagged the Kayakalp award.
Meanwhile, at a meeting of the CMOs, Rawat said that the district hospitals will now focus on providing all the treatments instead of referring patients to any tertiary care unit.
A report has been sought by him from the officials within three days over the demand and gaps at the district and sub-district level hospitals of the state.
